Last night's shenanigans at LVHRD 's Architect Duel IV in Williamsburg, were wild - and not just because of the "Alaskan woodland" theme.
Two teams of architects built models of an eco-chic nature reserve institute, from plastic straws meant to symbolize pieces of the Alaskan oil pipeline (having been rendered defunct in a future scenario). And while they chopped, snipped and soldered - the audience (dressed as lumberjacks and a surprsing variety of woodland beasties) drank free Dewars Scotch, Brooklyn Brewery beer and Fred water.
My deer costume went down a treat - especially with the local bear (a.k.a. LVHRD founder Doug Jaeger).
And at the end of the night - with the duel left to be decided by online votes over the next few days, it was time to find a friendly lumberjack and head over to the after party at Hugs bar, next door.
